first hike (of the season)

this is a historic kiln (3 kilns) where the pioneers fired lime rock to use in soaps an food and other materials for building--(interesting) we thought

we took a great hike fri--trail head started up by the university of ut. we went out of the way of the main trail to hike the little hill that we thought looked like a little party hat--we got a great view of the entire Salt Lake valley--(sorry no pic--but movie clip enclosed ) of the panarama as we did not think a still shot could do it justice..anyway t'was a great warm up hike and tough enough for us--the weather was great not to hot --not too cold--so a good time was had by all
