kids & keyboard fun--
thanks honey for all your hard work--(I tried to help--but after five minutes my elbows tuckered out--as well as the rest of me and I went inside to take a nap)_ he is so determined he stuck with it from sanding it with the wire brush to rolling and then painting by hand -- what the roller couldn't reach--Like I said "looks great!" here are some before and after--you be the judge--come by and see it... I love it! that was the best part of my day that day--looking out at it.
dad and Bryan get sprinkler system started
...I was impressed bryan was driving the bob cat around like a pro moving all the big rocks and hauling them off (Tooele must "grow" big rocks"_ cause there were lots) anyhow its going to look so nice when they build the new deck and get it all how they want it I say we have a big party out there to break in the new deck--I told bryan that and he said sure thing--maybe for hunter and kaci's birthday this summer-- (:
--its fun for me--cause when Bryan and dad work together then I have an excuse to go visit with Brianne and play with the kids for a few hours. --it was a fun weekend. mom
Hayley went to the big Island
some of the pics of Hayley on Kona Island (the big Island)

So glad Hayley and Gina and Ashley got to go to the big island Kona over the break between winter and spring semesters...she told me on the phone that they swam with dolphins and saw a whale up really close --sounds so fun to me--yeah for adventures....now she is home safe and sound from the big island and the ward had a fun bom fire and such on the beach and they also went to No. shore Sat. so she is getting some terrific adventures in before school starts again--

stephen's foundation going great in the philippines
Steve went to the Philippines this past summer to work and check on the foundation that he began. BELIEVE International enables children in the Philippines to attend school by providing sponosorships for children that would not otherwise be able to afford it. Kimberly Perkins (a past news anchor in Utah) and her crew went with Steve and made a television program.
I know everyone gets busy--to read all the blogs and life and such--but this is so cool! As a favor to me--would you all take a minute to click on the link and watch it
I understand the foundation better now--and I really appreciate Stephen not only envsioning this but also making it a reality...I've thought of lots of good things but never seen them through
I am so glad and thankful that he put his thoughts into action
It is about 5-10 minutes long and very good. Click on this link to watch it.
The first minute talks about the country and tehn the interviews with Steve and others begins. After part 1 stops, click on the side on part 2 to finish watching!

A Sunday tradition--(tradition! think of fiddler on the roof)
I'm getting back to my Sunday tradition of making rolls--remember when you all were little and I use to do that? I stop for a while because of the surgery---but I think I'm back (I use my big 'ole mixer) anyhow lots of folks are picturing recipes on the blog _so I am featuring one of my favorites with some options of how to cook the rolls okay here goes: the basic recipe is:
1/4 c warm water
2T yeast
1 t sugar
dissolve yeast in the sugar water--for 5 minutes while that is going on: you can be combining
2 C warm water
2/3 cup powder milk (non-fat dry milk)-
1/2 c sugar
1/2 T. salt
1 egg
approx 5 c flour
add the yeast and mix all for 7 minutes adding flour as needed to make soft dough--rise 45 min
shape into desired --rolls , or breadsticks -0r bread or such...
these are some of my favorite variations of what I do with the basic dough mixture-- (:
1) whip up 1 pint whip cream --add 3/4 brown sugar spread into the pan--lay cinnimon rolls --cresent rolls onto the whip cream cream raise 30 min-bake --
makes a yummy carmel sauce--
2) I like to make bread sticks and add 1/4 mayo, 1/4 tsp parsley 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/4 c. butter--spread mixture on the bread sticks before they rise -then rise 30 min-& then bake-
-
3) to make Orange rolls just combine 1 cube butter melted slightly 1 c sugar, 1/4 cup grated orange rhine and 1 T. orange juice concentrate--spread over a rolled out retangle of the dough
roll up the retangle and slice up like you would cinnimon rolls--let rise 30 min and bake-
-
4_ lay the dough in retangle--make 2 inches slices of the retangle then cut again 3 inch lenghthwise and stack up strips of dough as pictured in this blog--then put the 2x3 inch stacks of dough into a muffin tins...and raise and bake--makes more of a layer roll as pictured...enjoy
5) Fry up dough in grease-- for scones --top with honey butter
these are the things I am going to demonstrate for the R.Society mini cooking class when Its at my house next Oct. so I thought I might was well blog it since I have to type up the directions anyhow --happy bread making ---

can't wait to go camping again this summer
happy 3rd anniversary this month

when Bryan showed us the ring I thought it was the most beautiful ring engagement ring I had ever seen--but it wasn't just the ring that brought all the excitement--it was that you brianne were back from you mission and bryan was recovering from his accident and could kneel down and propose. and it was the right people--the right place the right time-
- Your sealing was so wonderful to attend. I still remember some of the things said --but mostly I just remember feeling so blessed to be your family and be a part of your lives, because you two are such a powerful team together.
We love you so much and we are so happy you include us in your lives---Mom and dad
view pics below at your own discretion--today I see the dr.
I am happy to be typing a short note and report improvement --I get to see the dr. today. I am happy I will be getting excersises assigned to me. these exercises are for the purpose to get the arms back into shape..at the first of the week--I had to use my left arm to hold my right arm up --to my mouth to brush my teeth/or/& comb my hair...but each day they get stronger and more independant.
