our summer adventures continue

dear family
on Fri June 17-dad and I had a good adventure driving to mirror lake--we didn't get that far as the road was closed due to snow on the road. Snow mobils were being used by one family. and we hiked around in the snow (and boots we had taken) the river was so powerful that we walked down to --we saw some bear tracks (big ones) and deer tracks in the snow--we had a bit of a snowball fight. and just ate a snack then went to a greasy dairy queen type eating establishment and had the best hamburgar. The homemade buns were the best part. Then home to rest from all the fun.

hiking again

dear family
it's beem a while since we've hiked due to the surgery I had (on my gums) and other miscellaneous
activities, but today we hiked bell canyon. The amount of water coming off the falls looked magnificent. The bad news those pics are on dad's cell phone camera. I did take some pics off the internet of bell canyon though--(not as impressive as what we actually witnesses-but still pretty) just to remind you what a beautiful hike it is. One of my favorite hikes actually. an estimated 4 mi
and we really enjoyed ourselves. causalities: eek...dad twisted an ankle and skinned a knee and we had to come home and rest as it took a bit out of us, but overall:
"A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALl!!!!!!"

I felt so happy about...

today I had a chance to look at the professional pictures that Katherine wallin took at the before sealing and reception I was so happy with the way she captured the festive mood of the day--I was grateful for the fun people that Joe and Hayley and the families were that also created the mood.
couldn't be happier.

lunch with a friend

traditionally my friend karri and I try to go to lunch once a year--we got caught up the other day eating at the Sizzler- I am so grateful for the influence of many people in my life that steer me into doing better things than I did before--she was the one who gave me the idea to make copies of the picture in the kitchen and gave me the leads to do it--this year she influenced me to just keep being me. karri also teaches some art classes and gave me an idea or two for some projects with the grandkids.

a quick trip...to Idaho

dear family you know how I love birthdays, so dad and I talked it over and then talked it over with Carolyn and decided I would go to Idaho for Carolyn's birthday. I put in a book on tape and went all by myself. (a first for me) All went well, I enjoy the scenery of the fields along the way. I enjoy the company of Carolyn, Bruce, and Krystal Balls, Verda, my cousins Allan and Jamie Morton.
Carolyn and I met at the Balls home and enjoyed a visit there and got to hold the new baby. We also had left over wedding cheese cake and they liked it...(me too)
later that day carolyn and I had a chinese lunch together, at a favorite restaurant I enjoyed the night we went out to eat at Bryan's college graduation. then we went to my cousins, visited. did art projects, ate dinner, had birthday cake, that night we saw the planet saturn through my cousins giant telescope (ginormous) as hunter would say. and it was so beautiful. (spiritual too). Then we took in a movie -yes a midnight movie at a drive in. called Soul surfer. You've already seen from my previous blog--I was so impacted by it even more the second time. then off to bed. Visited more in the morning. Got some cool geneology facts, and headed home. fun fun fun. I love Idaho.
