The house the Kirk's built
there is a rhyme that is entitled the house that Jack built. I was thinking a lot about the "house that the kirk's built" it is fun to make runs on the bike to that part of the park way and be the eyes and ears for the Kirks and send them updates via the cell phone or ipod... its coming along great
my cup runneth over
I've been enjoying a wonderful spring.. it was so far filled with
*house sitting for keith and carrie and getting to know their family better
*substituting classes
* working on unfinished projects
*de-junking and organizing
* playing with grandkids
* going to dance recitals, pre-school programs and other spring time activities like seminary and HS graduation

Dear family,
as mother's day weekend approaches, my thought turn to what truly dear mothers that Bryan and I have.
They both have so much in common.
It it wonderful to think upon their good natures and their good qualities
We will always try to help you come to know them
We love that they had strong testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints
They tried to teach us the true principles of the gospel, they taught us by example.
They both had eight children
both had husbands that served full time missions
both supported their husbands in busy work professions and lots of church callings (without complaining)
both served full time missions themselves
both served others --their families and also in the commmunity
both love music
both loved to smile and laugh
both loved to can and preserve food (well they did it--I guess they loved the work, of it I'll ask them someday)
both loved the scriptures
both loved their families
both Loved other people
How thankful we are to have been raised by two of the dearest people that we have ever known.
In a conference talk last conference Elder Packer said of his father, I hope to be the father that he was to me
I echo that sentiment...I hope to be the mother that our mothers were to us

enjoyed the bees baseball game tonight
our pass of all passes gets us in to 'certain' bees games--it was good weather tonight and we enjoyed the company of bryan's family at the bee's game...hot dogs, balloons, bouncing house train ride, watching the game
(even though the bees trailed most of it) lots of good plays made. seeing the bee's mascot all sorts of odd people...sometimes that is fun and sometimes that is disturbing to me... but a good time was had by all.

first Sunday dinner
Ask any grandchild what grandma's favorite day of the week is and un prompted they will tell you its SUNDAY. I am so thankful that I could partake of the sacrament each Sunday and get ready to do a little better on the upcoming week, and have a fresh start from my many 'follies' as Joseph Smith called them. also the first Sunday has become even a little more of a favorite Sunday as I have the opportunity to fast and pray and to have our family gather together. and I also enjoy connecting with our Sunday "PHONE CALLS' for those who can't be gathered togather....
As tradition we had our first Sunday dinner yesterday--we celebrated Megan, Brianne, Joe and Hayley and also celebrated an early mother's day for all the moms we said nice things about the mom's and wives and ate and ate and the three older girls put on a little performance for us in the back yard and we just visited and ate some more then dad and I took off and went to the seminary banquet and it was a good day over all and Hayley and joe got off on their trip and some of the family were able to take a Sunday drive and see nancy's and stephen's home. a good time was had by all

we are so blessed by the restoration of the gospel
as already mentioned..... I had the good experience of sharing our testimony in Rsociety about the Happinness our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ want for us and have provided for us even in the mist of difficulty. I know first hand and from experience that this is true.
we also know that Joseph Smith
restored the gospel in these latter days. Last night at a fireside
by elder Marlin Jensen...my testimony of this was again reaffirmed to
me. He had served in NY and spoke of the restoration and showed many
pics of the sacred grove. We not all need to go to the Sacred grove
to have this testimony.
We know you are working hard with your
companion to share the gospel truths with those in Mexico
we know that you are doing a great work
in fulfilling prophecy that the Lords sheep will be gathered in at
the last day.
On a personal note—Bryan just
finished remoldeling the 3 bathrooms in our home. I -Lynda am out of school now and I'm working on random projects..that I have been putting off...I can't wait to see what the summer activities bring--I haven't had a minute of bordem yet...I still substitute too--I taught 5th grade last fri
. we are all well and happy
here
life is busy but pleasant for the
moment...
we love to hear the words of the
conference talks and have enjoyed reading the talks that just came
out in the ensign of the last conference we also watch a talk (pre
recorded) for our FHE --and in time will eventually listen to them
all a second time...
we think of you often and pray for
you.

fun time running first 5 k race
today was a good day--I ran my first 5k race in my life..finishing in 31. min and still feeling pretty great...after walking it off a little--I won first place in overall the women who participated and finished first of all the women over 50 years old--I really enjoyed the experience and it was a joy to me in part --because it reminded me that I have progressed over the last three years with my exercise and managing some other things relating to health in my life
