Happy Thanksgiving all

Dear family where ever you are and how ever you are celebrating Thanksgiving this year..we are thinking of you! we are Thankful for each of you and the joy that you bring to dad and I
May this wonderful week be full of Thanksgiving to a kind and loving Heavenly Father that has blessed us so generously. the Pictures below are of turkeys made with a cheese ball and your favorite crackers Iused Ritz. its just an idea for fun...there is a second plastic plate propping up the first one with a square cardboard match box. then you just build the crackers up using the cream cheese cheese ball as glue. we took them to the ladies that we hope teach.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY TO ALL OF YOU.

Visitors makes us happy

Hi Family
its always been our hope that our home can be open and welcoming to anyone who wants to come stay. In the last few weeks we've had Mo Hemmingway (Alicia Call's husband) Shirley and Paul Beaty (Carolyn fullers friends) and then this past weekend Susie and Lisa Yergersen
we had such a nice visit. here are a few pics from the short stay of the Yergersens. It was good to hear they are doing so well in New Jersey. Susie was here checking out colleges for next year

their family may move to Missouri this coming summer for Russ's work to be decided soon.
we are always looking forward to the days when you all are coming to eat the cookies I made
not that you are visitors but but family and it will be fun to have you here and filling up the rooms of the house, with your presence to we need to say again how you are all welcome ALWAYS! that is just a given. if we forget to keep saying it over and over--

Here is Hayley setting off to go to a cheese cake factory on the island. Has anyone in our family tried any of the other cheesecake factories? just curious they just opened on in SLC Ut I vote we all go..........
does this look lush and green or what? Hayley is finding some great things to do in-between work and school. She works lots of Saturdays but has a list of things to do and see on the Saturdays off this is a hike she took and loved it.

dad had a pleasant surprise --the door bell rang rang 9:00 PM and dad went out to find a group of beehives from the 22nd ward delivering yummy rice krispies to him with a cute note how they appreciate all that he does in the Stake Pres. and they think he is a good example to them and lots of others too. then they signed the card from the "BEES" and it was very cute. just when you least expect it. someone does something cute for your or your family. I hate to admit I ate more than dad did even though they were a reward for him--he's good at sharing with me.

why pink? accented with the rose color? for the blog

One fun part of looking at the blogs for me is that I love to see all the fun things everyone does with the blog templates and designing their blogs. I've never seen a layout I've not liked yet--you guys are good at this! I chose the pink for our blot post for sort of a funny reason.
I'll probably stick with it as long as I blog. Well you might as well know now you'll find out sooner or later my funny reason. is that:
for as long as I can remember I have been an optimist and as some would say " I look at the world through rose colored glasses." hum....That can be a good thing or a bad thing--depending on how you view that.
as For me: believing that things will have a way of working out eventually; is an attitide that has worked pretty well so far (in my 49 years --)
I like looking at things that way.(positive I mean) Untill I find a better way that is probably what I'll keep on doing. and now you'll know why. And I recommend it to anyone--reading this
Ya never know just how things are goin' to go so I just say "lets just try this"& or "Let's just see" and hope for the best-
anyway here is a pic of hunter and I don't let the face fool you he is having fun..I'm just holding him goofy--but look at that cheesy smile on me. and wouldn't ya know it I'm wearing my "rose colored shirt too! how about that. Holding my grandkids always makes me feel extra optimistic. well that is my thought for the week. For whatever it is worth. PS If there is a will there's way.
