random this and that ..for fun

Dear family
well- it cracks me up to still wake up some days to a skiff of snow in march--now its just mostly windy then switches up to warm and that all comes to an end

some ladies at the bishop's wife luncheon--there were about 7 there but the pic was an after thought.

one of the grand kids took this picture of dad and I --just for fun and its random but I thought when I make all these posts into a book--it would be nice to have a few pics of dad and I together
when I went to make a post for our anniversary post --there aren't as many pictures of dad and I together as I thought--so hum--its a winner--and that is our post for this week --oh and dad and I have been walking around the block a lot again--even though their is no trek to get ready for --we are going to try to do some hikes this summer and dad keeps a pretty fast pace--

missionary update mar 17th

picture hayley sent march 22-in her letter she says she'd love to take a nap or see the family--but outside of those two things --she'd love to stay being a missionary a long long long time--

It was as always good to hear from hayley and that she is enjoying the mission experience

she seemed very happy today in her letter --we liked the part in the letter where she tells of the good companionship that she has and of their teaching pool and that she is getting warmer.

to quote her exactly she says: "I am glad to be a missionary"--

Stake Conference this weekend

we've now had the Sat night session --dad did a fabulous job on his talk (I thought--the spirit was very strong and it was so quiet at this meeting)
this is a picture of the dinner we had with Brother and Sister Clark at the Mchenry home

they are the sweetest people you ever want to meet-brother clark had such an interesting story about being in the mountains in 23 degree weather--getting stuck--falling and hurting his hip--calling his wife and her sending 911 to help him
_____________________________________________________________________
this is what I wrote before the sat. night session

Its going to be stake conference for us this weekend--this will bring us to a five year mark --since Bryan was called. He speaks in the sat night (adult session) and also in the main session Sunday morning--(remember him in your prayers that he will have the spirit with him-and it will be presented in a way that he hopes to present it-and that he will be calm) --

Friday we will do a temple session as a stake and that will be good. we will also be having a dinner Sat afternoon with the visiting seventy Elder Samuel Clark --looking forward to all of it.

beautiful Mar day

I love the speckles of snow in the trees and the way the sun catches the snow

Well when you have a beautiful march day--you can either stay in the house and get it cleaned, or you could sew something --or finish the spackling of the walls in preparation to paint or cook something good or Go Skiing (AGAIN)_ You guessed it skiing won out-I keep saying this is my last time for the season--but then there is so much powdery new snow and sunshine I can resist.

(PS posted below I did manage to make some raspberry swirl cheesecake for a luncheon the stake Presidency wives are hosting today for all the bishops wives) and I did vacuum --I don't Always just play--but mostly I do--lol

time out--

time out from the hub bub of life and just enjoying being together--the net on the tramp seems to be keeping everyone safe

finishing up a little treasure hunt of clues and finding jelly bellies at the end in the pink treasure box

the little kids and I saw the RC willey truck out the window and when it was pulling away--hunter begged to jump in the car to chase it and catch it-- we didn't do it --but his wanting to do it made us smile--

lastly for a break I took in another afternoon of skiing at Alta and the snow was all powdery and nice this past Wed. so that was nice to listen to soft music on the I-pod and just ski along peacefully and see all the beauty in nature

sometimes the best pizza sauce is...no sauce

(the final crust was a titch more brown I brushed it with oil and popped it back in for 7 more minutes--) don't be afraid to cook pizza on high heat
kerri taught me this the summer they lived here) (:

dad and I tried something good tonight (that we incedently learned from Nancy) and that was we made that pizza with our favorite crust and then brushed it with olive oil and sprinkled parmesan -THEN (no sause I moved onto putting toppings)

- I put green onions, spinich, HB, red peppers, monzerella and bacon bits and tomatoes monzerella on top----and was so excited to share the idea--(that I took two pic) of the pizza

you are all probably saying--that's old news--but for me it was new and we liked it
