A FLASHBACK TO JAN 28, 2005
You all know me so well, that my making this post probably won't even surprise you---this incident was life changing to me.
and so even though It was not my personal experience--it truly affected me.
One thing that I will forever remember is the person who hit bryan came to his room shortly after bryan was hospitalized and apologized to him, and Bryan graciously forgave him. At that point the medical descisions as to all the damage to bryan was not determined--but that didn't matter to bryan he "frankly forgave the man" that is a -phrase used in the account of Nephi after his brothers beat on him --and they latter asked forgiveness. My point is that I stood there and watched that exchange--and to be honest I don't know that I at the time was that forgiving of a person--but I have worked trying to have that attitude since that time

I won't put the graphic pics this year (of Bryan in the hospital bed four years ago) but as tradition of every year--I just want to post and say how thankful I am for the tender Mercies of our Heavenly Father--and since this accident -we have been blessed with other tender mercies of protection too. So this pic for me represents all of the times we've all been proctected. I it humbles me to reflect on it briefly today at the 4 year mark and remember this and other miricles in our lives--so glad you're still here Bryan and so glad its just a memory now- We surely are grateful things worked together for your good.

Temple open houses are a wonderful thing

I attended the Rexburg Temle

Dear family,
Last Fri I had the opportunity to attend the Rexburg temple, it was very beautiful. Then Next Sat. I will be able to go with you all to the Draper Temple openhouse--I'm really looking forward to that, then the following Fri dad and I get to do Sealings in the Jordan temple. Hayley gets to go to the Provo temple weekkly--which I know is a blessing in her life. I hope you are all feeling the blessings of the temple, it brings so much peace to our lives--for those of you that live close enough for me to tend--I will tend anytime you need me to--if it helps you to get there. Dad and I will be celebrating our 30rd anniversary on Feb 16th...maybe we could start a tradition of attending together somewhere around that day (as a family). dad and I will be going anyhow--so come join in if you want.

a chair to test out

Hi family, the physical therapist dropped a "practice" or "trial" type chair by so the family took her to the church to try it out. she caught on right away--how to use it--thought you might have already seen it--but wanted to post it --she seemed happy to move about. what a sweetheart she is.

Irma Call--update

Hi family
hopefully you've been getting some of the news of hayley as I forward it on--I decided to blog a quick post in case extended family and friends like an update
Irma Call is doing fabulous--she is enjoying the MTC but also enjoyed getting out last Fri--for a break--to attend the temple--she wrote a birthday card to dad and bore her testimony at the end of the card (in Portuguese)
she was also able to see and talk with the wilsons from our stake a couple missionary--they came home for the weekend--and stop by to report that she looks great and seems very happy there.
well she wrote a letter and answered lots of our questions--she is eating well, sleeping well and enjoyed hearing from Elder Holland last week.
I think she sounds good don't you? yes--I really do---let's analyze that do death like I did with you brad and bryan- & Brianne and stephen when you were serving--I'd say--that quite a bit
