thought for today

"Ya do what ya can"--------

yup that's it that is the thought--it's saves a lot of guilt feelings--if you remember that (:

been out walking....

with the warm weather upon us--we've really enjoyed taking a walk here and there --we have a set route we usually do when dad gets off work--and we are trying to gear up to take some hikes
anyone is welcome to come with us-we've been researching some hikes on line that we haven't taken before--one is Neff canyon--anyone been there--we saw the trail head last week when we went to a reception--so glad that weather is nice now--and we can get out and about-- yeah for walking outdoors--beats trying to get it done on the treadmill./

I had such a wonderful Mothers day--thanks guys for all your emails--letters , books, baskets, vhs recorder to dvd machine and the phone calls (*fun that lots of us could be together on the phone at once talking to Hayley so far away) !!!!
to sum it up--some people don't care so much for all the mother's day gestures but I loved it all
mostly just a sense of feeling needed and appreciated was the best feeling in the world --so glad this is my main calling--and I feel blessed.

I got to spend some time playing games and eating popcicles and watching kids play and color and say the funny things they say that come up in conversation--when you are around kids--its was a good week

I love this time of year when we dig up the garden and get the seeds and plants all set and planted--Hunter was at our house that day &

followed bryan in his footsteps up and down the furrows--

happy happy birthday Brianne--what a wonder lady you are always taking your kids to do things--and being of service to others--

you have a great radiance about you and -those who come in contact with you can feel of it-you are adventureous--(even though you may not think so) you try lots of new things and you are willing to take your ward girls to camp--that is adventurous! you help so many with their music

and bring music into your own kids world. you make our family gathering fun. Your home is always warm and welcoming--you make us feel included in things that you are doing--you go the extra mile. You care about others and what is going on with them-ability to love is a great gift you have-we still remember clearly when you said yes to Bryan's marriage proposal and how happy we all were that we could celebrate many birthdays with you--hope this birthday is wonderful--know you are loved and may the coming year be full of great things and happiness

dear family as you saw from nancy's post I got to help with a neighbor birthday party for megan -what a cute group of kids I had as much fun as anyone

it seems like yesterday we drove out to Iowa to meet our sweet little megan at her birth-she is funny, and a tease--she enjoys reading books with us and going outside--she told me an article of faith the other day including the words, vision, healings, interuptations of tougues, and so forth

she reasons things beyond her age--she is always welcoming and warm and greets us with joy

she loves happy endings in movies--we enjoy your company too megan--have a very happy birthday right on mothers day and we'll celebrate on the third Sunday with you and aunt Brianne. she is your birthday pal as well as aunt Hayley--so the three of you get spring birthdays--

This will be a wonderful week as it is Hayley's birthday--We love you Hayley and feel of your support even miles away. We love you for bringing us together, for being excited to take a hike somewhere or try something new. We love you for your love of the gospel and the great missionary that you are. We love your example of making friends, and of being a friend to us as your family. Glad that Heavenly Father sent you to this family so we could feel of your spirit and your goodness. You have a wonderful sense of humor and you bring lots of smiles and laughs to all of us. Thanks for the letters of the past months--sharing with us your thoughts and experiences of the mission- you are dear to our hearts and we hope that your birthday this week is wonderful and that you feel loved. You were born on a beautiful day in May--there was a big shout out then and there is a big shout out today!
