nursrey

picture  of a nursrey kitchenette  cause it reminds me of the thing the kids play with most in nursrey--I'll add pictures of the nursrey kids next week...(:

Now the year is nearing the end our primary nursrey numbers are growing but it is still fun and I teach with neat ladies.  Jolene Peek, Mia and Sarah Davidson.  We all make a good team and the kids are so cute--we love to have them dress up like mary and Joseph and hold the baby Jesus (doll) and take a pic of them this time of year.  we got the idea from when abbie was visiting our ward years ago and the nursrey leaders did it then.  one little girl Samantha smith  says to me often "remember when we dressed up like Mary and Joseph"  one little boy Easton said as we were taking the pic.  remember how Joseph put his hand on mary's shoulder.  I'll do that, K?  "  it was so cute.  So here we go into another Holiday season feeling of their sweet spirits and feeling bad that the older ones will soon move onto Sunbeams in Jan.  They become such a part of your week--seeing them each Sunday.

*I also  so very  thankful for :Grandchildren who love me and accept me--with open arms

oh how I love to hear my grandkids sing...

Oh how I love to sacranment  services where the primary children bear testimony in word and song.  Oh how I love school programs where the kids learn songs to sing

lately dad and I have gone together to hear some of the grandkids sing at school --at their homes, --at church and on the Ipod from their homes

some of the grandkids songs they've learned lately are:
* about our country (such as I Love America , and its a grand old Flag and the songs that are associated with each of the branches of the military)
* also in one of the school programs the songs were  about that they are very important and individual.
* Mayley sing with her first grade class, at their program last Fri.
*The Sunday before that Hunter and mayley sang in their ward.  among my favorites were --"I will go I will do"  that's the chorus..
oh how Hunter put his heart into it.  My friend (Anne told me later)  that Hunter sings with all his heart each  Sunday this endears him to them.
   * We didnt make it to Alaska to Hear Kaci
in her sacrament program but she told me it went well and she sang me some songs on the ipod--about being"one in a million" and choose the right and she said that she sang this little light of mine (and she sang it for me) and said they sang that and other songs about "light" as they held their little hand made lanterns and walked through a lighted path in the forest.
Tomorrow we get to hear Abbie, Adrianna and Megan in their sacrament meeting program.
and we heard them sing in their school Choir last week. I loved the song about America and Kyle
was singing right along with the girls because he hears them practice and learns the songs.
*Megan-   sang to me at her house--about "mine own little light" a song of testimony,  she has a goal to learn and sing a new song every week and I can't wait to hear them all.

Oh how I love to hear them all sing...it does my heart good

Happy Birthday Hogan

what a joy it is to have you in our family Hogan.  Your sweet little face and good nature light up the room
you love your little cars and it is fun to see you playing with them
You are so good at running around with your brother Hunter and enjoy imitating him
you are so good to make us laugh when you hoola hoop with the plastic blow up inner tube
You learn quickly and you make us laugh when you say the the animals sounds that you've learned
You are fun to watch when you get going with the markers on the paper you love to draw
fun to watch  you when you sit up on the bed with the kids and think that you're using the Nintendo control
there are so many things we love about you--
it is fun to watch you enjoy life and blowing out your candles and playing in the fall leaves.

You have a good heart and our lives are changed forever for the better because you were born..love ya

days out of school (Fri and Sat Nov 9 &10)

since the kids had a day out of school it was a good day for having lunch together and building lincoln logs toys and playing in the new fallen snow-  so glad that they could make the day fun for dad and I since we both had that day off too.  (:  then that night (fri) some of the grandkids slept over while their parents had date night and the next day we played in the snow again and exercised to the record "wiggle worm"  that my mom used to have to kids excerise to when my kids were little.  I may even have done it with my nieces  when they were little I know it was when mom taught kindergarten that we started exercising to that music

Family dinner

first Sunday dinner this month was fun....we answered Thanksgiving questions that were at our plates. (since we'll all be out and about to different places for Thanksgiving) we also used  some fancy china and we had a good visit

we enjoy our neighborhood

We enjoy our neighborhood.  many years ago we decided to cook scones for the neighborhood kids and their parents for Halloween.  We got the idea from our friends the Steadmans and it has been a fun tradition

we really love our neighborhood family.  They always makes us feel like our scones are a real treat.  (:
