we caught the beauty of this sky (well partially) in a picture and wanted to share it. "a free Gift" as I sometimes call it.

Dear family
for F.H.E. dad and I went for a bike ride on the parkway--it was really a beautiful day
we trying to exercise. and it helps our physical and mental well being --plus it is so fun to see the beauty of the world around us- sometimes we wave to folks we wouldn't have seen otherwise and it just makes our lives better. So glad that we got the mountain bike for dad's birthday--its been a really good investment.

unexpected surprise

this past month has been full of unexpected surprises--gifts, well wishes for Hayley and Joe

service to our family as far as all of you and then from our ward family and community.

To end the month --we went out on a good note and had a doosy of a surprise waking up to several inches of snow on the last day of April (dad figured he meaused 9inches on the deck) hum. .....

and speaking of may HAPPY MOTHERS DAY SHOUT OUT TO ALL YOU MOMS and to my wonderful mother Maeda Murri Gertsch and to my wonderful Mother in Law Helen Pay Call and to Clarcie Call for their influence in our lives

It was and is my privilage to be the mother of * EIGHT wonderful people now--(I always wanted 8 you know--and I don't count the ones who married in as 'in laws' I just claim ya all)

so thanks for the privilage of loving you and doting on you all--my cup runnety over. One of you asked me if I needed anything for mothers day--and although I have that running wish list...guess what--I have everything I need and more--so a love note or a picture of yourselves would be divine. love ya much---mom

Too Clean, (what?) and too snowy

kinda boring would ya say--clean but no family milling around to enjoy it or enjoy each other...I would take the trade off--but it was fun while it lasted--I just wanted you all to see it could be clean if we wanted it to be.. smiley face....

Too quiet

last week the house was full of energy --buzzing with people and food and wedding preparation and post sealing fun.. it was much like a childrens book I enjoy called the relatives came...people food everywhere, people sleeping over., lopped over each other sprawled out on the floor. messes --everywhere.

BUT ...now well yeah it cleaner but...um...sort of TOO QUIET. we did have a good day though --here are some 'before and after pics" enjoy

So fun to see Joe and Hayley start a new eternal family unit. The house is all pretty much clean now and well frankly--I wish I could trade that sense of order --for the family and the hub-bub of everyone around again--but I have my memories to tide me over--below are pic of some of those happy times together.
