haste makes waste

if you look closely at the pinky toe --you can see a big line on the bottom half of the toe--that is the break
this is just showing the swelling--and yikes dry feet I guess
this is just to show the bruising the days following
yes that old cliche is true..I've said it --I believe it and yet I rush and rush until life's no fun  Like that old country song lyrics....so I was rushing and not watching and carrying some clothes in my arms so that my sight of things below my waist was limited...I forgot I had to walk around a piece of furniture we were moving around and I stubbed my toe and dislocated the bone so it was it a weird position and Stephen came to my rescue and deadened it and put it back into the right position.  without him I was sunk  thanks much -Stephen  I owe you a pie or some treat--you are very good at being a dr and I so appreciated you help last Sat.  so now with all that said ..I post a  pic for sympathy --Just kidding  I've gotten lots of that.
hard to tell from the picture but I am not holding my pinky toe like that--is is just bent that way..from stubbing it.

--The touching  part of this story is:  dad put up the tree, cleaned the house, the kids and dad cleaned up after gingerbread houses, dad put the lights on the tree and cooked and got up at 5:30 am and put a roast in the croak pot on sunday before he left for 6am meetings --he went Christmas shopping for all the married kids and did all the holiday preparations pretty much single handily and I love him for it.  all the while I was watching him work and reading a book.  He is so good to me....so the moral of the story =-==don't stub your toe....(:   and if you do --better be married to a great guy like I am.

together again

I spent some time with some of my cousins that I haven't seen in some time
the first pic is myself and sherri timmerman
the next is myself and marsha morton
we were meeting under sad circumstances at the loss of Jan van fleets husband Troy
it made me appreciate the gospel teachings and the plan of salvation.  I bear my; testimony that family is eternal and important.  I love my family and extended family and learn from each of them.  They are very; kind and loving people
the last pic is with myself , Marsha and Lorraine and Arden -- they let me ride up to Kaysville with them and I really enjoyed our visit

let the fun begin...with decorating...houses

let's see here what's our options..??
she's been looking forward to decorating this for a 'long time'  she smiled all the while she decorated
sugar high--
bryan passing off candy to Hogan--not so much about the deocrating but this 'candy' stuff is great!!
all smiles --for the creation she created

mom couldn't be happier  we team up together to do a bunch of family stuff..and church stuff and random stuff

decorate a little, "eat a little" decorate a little
a little of that and a pinch of this.....

a free gift !!

when I see a beautiful sky it increases my testimony and makes me happy
one time a long time ago I heard someone say  "run quick for a free gift"  look out the window at the sky
its a present from our Heavenly father.
On Nov 21 2012   the sky was breath taking..this his looking out our back yard towards cahills --even this pic can't ;quite capture it but I wanted to try to share it

" ward " Christmas tradition

Love the nativity cut outs Ester Levoresen painted years ago  ( I painted some too just to have for myself)
each year the ward pulls them into the nursrey room and takes pics of the kids in front of them dressed like Joseph and mary and baby Jesus  in the manger.  One mom told me that the father of  one of my nursrey kids has a pic like that from when he went to primary in this ward when he was little.  His parents have it hanging in their home --currently in this day.  So I hope it makes a good card for the kids to give their parents in a few weeks... they seemed to like dressing up and they looked so angelic.

window paintings on sliding doors

My window painting is limited now to the sliding doors in our kitchen ...its passing on to the next generation  I was so tickled to have the grandkids paint this for me.  for Thanksgiving.  I was proud of their creativity and great job...they've really got the hang of it.  I love 'em for it.  Art is just fun cause there is no "right or wrong way.." its just what you want or think and the kids actually improve on my original pilgrim of days gone by.  (:    they are great little artist every one of them.

November weather, from snow storms to sunshine
