my sweet aunt Lena Gertsch Morton

Hi there

well In thinking and pondering the funeral for my aunt Lena Gertsch Morton (my dad's sister) todayshe was the last living sibling of all my father's 11 brothers and sisters. all eleven kids were from the same mother-named Elise durtschi gertsch and conrad (conie as they called him) gertsch

the Gertsch family was such an example of friendship a really -incredible family--and such friends with each other too..well into the years their lives..I think they are having a huge fun reunion on the other side-

-I hope the all of you would be such good friends to each other as lena, lucy -helen, reed, ray, jerry, and leo were to each other..I know you will be--and maybe even better than they--I have often told you about their geniune concern for each other. listening to the tribute made me thankful for dad (bryan Sr) and each one of you in my lives...although the memories of others too--the main memories were of her as a wife and mom and of her service to family and of service to the people of the Island of Tonga as she reared her family there for 6 years while her husband translated the Book of Mormon and D&C into the tonga language. they did other amazing things as a couple and as a family.
